Voila upgraded with webpage and webcam captures, image organizer and additional annotations

Voila version 2.0 now comes with webpage and webcam captures, organizer for image management and additional annotations like blur and flip. It also comes with a facelift.

NEW UDUPI, India, May 4, 2009 – Global Delight has updated Voila – the screen-capturing tool – with additional capture options, image organizer and new annotation tools. The enhanced User Interface has easy access to the common actions performed during and after the capture. Previously, Voila was updated with multi-screen capturing options, provision to add an image as annotation, and a feature to lock/unlock the annotations.

Voila 2.0 now has a wide array of options for capturing snaps from a simple full screen capture to captures involving different shapes, objects, menu, scrolling page, freehand, and webcam images. Snaps of entire webpage can be captured by importing the URL or by typing it within the built-in browser. Further, multiple regions or multiple DOM elements within the webpage can be captured. Users can also capture snaps from iSight or any other webcam and annotate and share them.

Voila 2.0 also includes a built-in image organizer. All the snapped images are now available in a central Library. Rule based Smart Collections and custom collections can also be maintained. All captured images can be tagged, commented and grouped under appropriate collections for quick search and reuse.

Blur annotation has been provided to hide sensitive information and required portions of the image. Four different types of blur can be used for annotating the images along with the option to adjust the blur properties. Annotations can be flipped horizontally or vertically. Spray and Stamp tools contain a myriad of new items. Guidelines have been implemented for easy positioning of annotations.

The User Interface has been updated for easy access to all types of captures, annotations, effects and organizer. The new interface has options for toggling the locking-unlocking of annotations, zooming the images on the canvas and moving the annotation layers back and forth. Cross hairlines makes the capture areas and shapes more accurate.
